Institution Research.

Who would produce/distribute our film?
Warner bros. Pictures.

We chose this because of certain films that they have done, for example Harry Potter films and the Batman films which relates to our dark and action part of our genre. However, they have also done films like Corpse Bride which is aimed at a younger audience but is very strange at the same time so I think that this would be perfect for our film.

Examples of films they have already distributed/produced:

-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
-Inception
-Clash of the Titans
-The Book of Eli
-Sherlock Holmes
-Terminator Salvation
-The Dark Knight
-Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
-Corpse Bride
-The Matrix

Brief overview of content: A girl goes missing but is actually turned into a vampire, by an evil vampire who has been stalking her friends for a while and has decided they will be his victims (she was turned into a vampire so she could be the creator's mate, but she is heartbroken over her friends and boyfriend so he has set out to kill the rest so she can be his forever). She is declared dead by the police but her body is never found. After her funeral, her boyfriend is sure she is still alive, feeling like he keeps seeing her face everywhere he looks, and is determined to look for her. One of her friends is then killed and after a lot of detective work the rest of the group manage to find out about the evil vampire and go to find him. The girl manages to save them from being killed by killing her creator. She disappears from her friends so that she never hurts them but stays close enough to protect them from any more harm.

Target audience: This film is targeted towards a female audience, around 12-19.

Possible scheduling publishing suggestions: During July/ August as our taregt audience would be on their summer holidays so would have lots of time to go see it.

What comparable products have you researched: We have researched tim Burton Opening sequences as they are slightly eerie and are usually of a fantasy genre and also 'The Lost Boys' as that is a vampire film which relates to ours. We have also researched The Twilight Saga films as they related to our niche audience.

How will you test whether the product is successful? How will you check that it accomplishes the intended effect?: Through audience feedback.

What generic codes and conventions will be operating in your text?: The title of our film, cast and crew, an indication of the location, time and genre, introduction to a character, and we want to raise intriguing questions with the audience so that they are turned in to our film and will want to continue watching it.

Identify any resource constraints (time, money, equipment, human resources) that might affect your production and your hopes for your product: I think this will take a lot of our time to film because of the many situations we want to include in it. We will need to buy a scrap book and we will need to print a lot of pictures of the characters, as well as flowers for the funeral.
